I'll Be Fine
Wherever were you when my life fell down,
I kicked you out like a used toy.
Told you I didn’t need you, I’ll be fine.
I am the queen of self-destruction. I wear the crown.
I kill a bit of me, whenever I put you down,
say that I don’t care at all,
because in the end you know, you’ll be fine.
Some days I wonder, if my sea level makes me drown.
I put down the knife on my skin to drown,
my blood the liquid to suffocate.
I hate myself for me, but I’ll be fine,
because when I think I’m through, I just put you down.
Call me names, judge me, make me frown,
I’ll be harder on myself.
Through the tears I’ll say “I’ll be fine,”
because I know, whatever I do, I don’t want to drown.
