Dashing Through the Snow

There was about  two inch of snow today. Which is quite a bit considering I live close to the seaside and usually the snow melts before it hits the ground. Also, today is supposed to be the day that we are going to celebrate St Nicholas with family. Hopefully my dad still wants to drive through the snow, it seems we are going as there are no huge traffic jams on our way to Rotterdam.

Before I had to hop to the store to get some last minute presents for my grandpa. It made me so happy that I could go outside and dance around in the snow. Just like cows who can get out of the barn in the spring. I literally jumped around like a little kid burying my platform, yes platform, boots into the snow. Sometimes they boots were covered in snow when I jumped in a somewhat larger pile of snow.

On the other hand, my ability to write poems was greatly needed today as my mother and sister couldn't come up with a poem for tonight.Apparently, for me it is a piece of cake to write a simple poem for St Nicholas without it sounding too dumb and childish. Job well done for today?? I have written three poems for today's occasion, painted my nails, wrapped two gifts and danced in the snow.

I have also still not gotten back to facebook nor chat nor regular MSN or unblocked those who I shouldn't talk to and I haven't gone back to twitter. I am proud of myself. I have also stepped in glass today and last night I stayed up till 1.30am doing nothing because I didn't want to go to bed. Old habits die slow.

To close this rant/entry I will share with you the poem I made for my grandpa. Don't we all love cheese St Nicholas poetry? Sorry for the Dutchness of this.
Best Jacob,
