The hot topic of today, or the last few days for that matters is the shooting in Alphen a/d Rijn. You could ask me what it has to do with me, except for that I am in fact Dutch, but it is so real and so unreal at the same time. Alphen is not even that far from where I live, my aunt used to live there until she moved to France a little more than a year ago. Classmates live there, of which one is the ex-colleague of the shooter. I have moved on already and the bad jokes have already sneaked into my rants about what is on tv.
James Bond Parody: just imagine James Bond without any special effect, it would look so incredibly silly. Airplanes dangling from strings in front of a green screen, car and flight scenes where the car in fact doesn't move and every movement made to recreate the movement of the car is just obsolete and hilarious to watch. Put that together with a bunch of over the top faces pulled on any occasion and you get a mix of some hilarious action without actual action and awesome stunt scenes without any actual movement and funny faces.
Killing spree jokes:
- Why did the shooter wear camouflage-pants? He sure didn't blend in with the walls or environment of the shopping centre? He would blend in more if he would be wearing the Albert Hein uniform before putting a bullet through his head behind the Albert Hein counter.
- Even after joining a gun club he still is incredibly bad at actually hitting his target, I don't know what he has done in his room but it sure wasn't playing shooter games to improve his aim. Out of the 100 bullets he shot he only actually shot 25 people of which 7 died, including himself. In game terms is achievement would be poor, he wouldn't get his bronze medal and he wouldn't be able to unlock the bonus stage.
This doesn't mean that what happened there isn't tragic, humour just never stops. I am glad the shooter wasn't a Moslim because then all hell would have broke lose and this would be called a terrorist attack before any information on it is revealed. The worst is the politicians who have been promising to change gun laws since a few years a teenager shot classmate over a stupid row they had. It never got changed and now this happens and again they want to do the same thing, do they never learn?? Politics have one general rule and that is to bolt the stable once the horse has bolted and then it has to happen again before their plans are put into action. GO POLITICS GO!
