It's the Hair

I had promised myself to buy a brand new action game from the Playstation3 after my exam weeks were over, of course I couldn't wait. I am a very impatient person, more so when I know what I want and when I want to play or use it. Waiting just takes so long and sometimes excitement gets the best of me and I go out and buy things I should have waited with.

Today I bought Heavenly Sword, as I tend to like games that have a female lead that kicks ass. I didn't really know what to expect and frankly, from looking at the official site her face just put me off. It didn't look very pretty. What I now come to realise is that the character is in fact very much oriental inspired and has a Chinese face, but the official wallpapers are drawings the real CGI stills are so much better and really, she is pretty. She is one of those hot babes that provide a lot of fan service without selling sex. You don't really see that she is walking around in nothing but undies and something to cover her breasts and half her arm. To me, it is somehow tastefully done, not like the other game I bought "Bayonetta." I am a little disappointed with it and I haven't even played more than 20 minutes. In the second fight scene her clothes get ripped off [skip to 6.12 for the appropriate part of that scene], first by her leg, then on her breasts and then her butt while she is moaning like she is heaving sex. I felt rather insulted. Bayonetta feelt like walking sex to me, but I probably need to play it a little more.

From the beginning I felt that tingling feeling in my vagina [as Mr. Mouse in an Episode of Southpark would say]. No, really, this game just made me squeal like a fan. First off, the script is good, it could be some film epic about how a warrior woman defies all laws and rules to revenge her family and accepts her own mortality. The gameplay is fun, the has three stances, speed, range and  power. These will turn that mystical Heavenly Sword into different shapes allowing the character Nariko to fight in different ways, with two smaller swords, two swords on a chair or one big and heavy one that slaughters big enemies perfectly and the best of all, you can easily switch between these making it an enjoyment to play and to laughter whoever is in your way. Also the characters are something to fall in love with, most are men, except for Nariko who is the unwanted daughter of the chief of the clan who wanted a boy to make the prophecy come true and a small girl called Kai who is just cute, like Rikku of Final Fantasy X and X-2.

I really can't wait to be playing this game again, unfortunately, the time I have now used to write this entry should have been used on doing some homework. I would have said that tomorrow I am off and only have two classes to study for, but Saturday I am out on a fieldtrip to Varsseveld to look at the house my parents want to buy. At least I get animals to care for, goats and chicken and they will be under my command so I can rule the earth with animals, eliminating all the bad seeds humanity has planted on this earth.

Trailer for Heavenly Sword

Yes you get to kill enemies by breaking their necks with your feet, just shows how awesome this game is and how fun the gameplay.

Intro of Heavenly Sword, it's goooooooooood!
SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Yes, why I wanted the game in the first place? It's the hair, it's pretty and vibrantly red, says it all.
