Heart Sugery
I see you break under your breath,
aspirating millions of tiny shards.
Piercing you soul, tearing it apart,
bleeding from the wounds,
inflicted on your heart.
They say it doesn’t hurt to breathe,
when their oxygen is smooth.
Caressing their egos, complimentary,
words cannot cause them harm,
they are alimentary.
In your cage of their laws obeyed,
cuffed, doomed and put away.
Your soul withering under their art,
of torment, blind grotesque,
they removed your heart.
