Alcohol Induced Miracle Dreams

It is done, everything is done, it is the end of the beginning. After being on alcohol and a healthy doses of good company my dream has come true. Not my dream, dreams are bigger than this, but a small portion of my dream has been achieved. Alcohol should have been my celebrating partner, but after a night of drinking I take a Sabbath day of drinking so I won't be puking my celebration dinner all over the place because my stomach refuses to act normal.

It could all be a dream because this is too good to be true. On the other hand, government is trying to make everything harder, even though I find myself achieving my goal of the year, it might even turn out to be not enough. Government seems to be shitting all over my dreams, goals and lifestyle because of cuts. I don't know what they are thinking, trying to be a knowledge economy but butting on education funding and student financing. How the hell are we supposed to afford an education when you cut our financing and raise college money. On top of that they want to heighten acceptance threshold so only the really good students can enter university. They are bloody, fucking, barking mad there in the Hague.

I just can't understand their reasoning for doing this, well I can, but because it affects me it looks unreasonable. The worst thing about this whole drama is that the cuts are thought up by those who had an easy time studying, when the government granted them 50.000 guilders a year and it didn't matter that it took them 11 years to complete their study. We get max 340 euro a month and have to complete our study in 3 or 4 years, depending on if the study takes 3 or 4 years, else you have to pay an extra 3000 euro on top of the college fee and all study financing is cut including the student public transport card, seems like a fair deal for taking a bit longer to graduate, don't you think?

So it is a happy day in the house of depression, even though I don't feel like celebrating anything. Talking about celebrating, had a little party yesterday, hence the drinking. First went to my sister's friend to get some food together, go to the musical Soldier of Orange (again) with afterwards the drinking and drinking game all in celebration of my sister's and her friend's birthdays.

What's up next? My parents are leaving tomorrow, for forever. Me and my sister will be cycling their way next week and hopefully see some beautiful Dutch countrysides on our way there. We'll stay there for three weeks or so and then head back here for college preparation and perhaps see our grandma and make her dinner. Sounds like a proper holiday, doesn't it? It doesn't to me, but we'll just have to deal with it.

Goodnight.
