Holding Hands

A lot of people assume that holding hands is the most accepted way to show affection in public. You couldn't be more wrong, it is generally only accepted when it is straight couples who are holding hands. Yes, When Lesbians or Gay are holding hands it is frowned upon and there might even be others who will abuse these couples. I strongly agree that everybody should be equal and that holding hands in public sounds be accepted, I have seen enough people giving me the evil eye.

Next Saturday (November 28) "A Day in Hands" has the Elvis Challenge, it calls on everybody who wants to walk a mile or more hand in hand with somebody from the same sex. I wish I could participate but I am a busy gal.

Take the Elvis Challenge:
1) Find someone of your same gender.
2) Walk a mile holding their hand (or any distance).

From A Day in Hand

So I call you, friends, blog readers, gay right supporters to ask your girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, best friend, random friend or anyone from the same sex to walk a mile with you. Because for straight couples holding hands is the most normal thing in the world while Same Sex couples are still looked at as deviants, get abuse and are being accused while they are holding hands.

Help the world by being open-minded and not judgemental. Stop the abuse and give gays equal rights because we are humans after all.
