Regret

There will always be things that you regret, no one has lived his her her life without feeling a little regret. Most of our regrets come from material things or emotional things that correlate to social action we did or did not undertake. So here is my "5 things I regret"

5. Swimming
I've been an avid swimmer most of my life and it is no surprise that I got 25 swimming diplomas on my name. It has been my favourite most practised hobby since I started at the age of 4 and quit at the age of 14. I am a natural waterrat and it kept me healthy and less fat. The obvious downside of no longer putting my legs in the water is that I gained a lot of weight from not exercising my buttocks once a week.

4. Fitting in
As tweens it is the only thing we want, we want to be normal, accepted, fitting in into that square your fellow tweens have around their minds. Behaving like you are someone else that you in fact are is not only keeping you from become a better you but also tires you out. In the end you might be better off being yourself than keeping up appearance. If I had never conformed to the squareness I would have become a hardcore goth or at least have a better wardrobe and sense of fashion.

3. Lippiercing
It is not so much that I regret having a lippiercing, I regret getting my lip pierced.  I loved my lippiercing and if it had gone right I would have gotten a lipring and be a sex goddess. Things just went wrong and it ruined my gum. So now I am left with an almost completely gumless tooth, which is a bad thing for my oral health. The piercing just scraped away the gum, which hurts like a motherfucker. I wish I could have a lower labret, but that is not in it for me, unfortunately.

2. High-school
Don't mistake me for a whiny bitch, it is not the institution that I hate, it is my own high-school that I have come to despise. For me it was the wrong place to be, the wrong school. In the 6 years I went there every year has come with its own kind of trouble, from having the wrong friends to the school not being observant and motivating enough to make me not fail. If a teacher tells you that you are hopeless because you have a problem understanding something, it will not come across as being productive or motivating.

1. Motivation
The thing I most regret in my life and still regret is that I am not motivated enough. Ever since primary school I was not motivated to get everything out of life that I could. Instead of trying my best I tried to just survive and not do any hard work, so instead of doing the difficult level I became mediocre. That has happened my whole life. I settle for being mediocre because I wasn't motivated to anything more than that, anything that sounded like hard work was off putting. I regret not being motivated, life could have been so much sweeter if I just sucked it up and did my work and studied.

What do you regret?
