The light was already pouring through the windows, the flimsy white curtains didn't hold back any light and the cars and trams would occasionally pass, amplified sounds in a sleeping world. A very early morning it was, the others still sleeping in their beds, I could hear them, moving, coughing, turning around and going back to sleep. I was staring, looking through the room, letting my eyes slide over everything, the sleepers. Miles away, hiding in their dreams, but the morning was still early and the sleeping dust had not lifted off their eyes yet. Slowly eyes started to move, the turning around more frequently and every now and then I would catch the eyes of a very sleepy friend.
After having breakfast with toast we went outside again, to sit and talk. Later we moved to the Port Room, the room I was sleeping in to continue our game of Truth and Dare. It was the most hilarious and interesting game of truth or dare that I have ever played. It started with harmless truth and a poledance to deep throating a banana and me flashing my boobs at some random guy walking the street. Nobody was drunk or even a bit intoxicated.
Our level of intoxication changed during the evening, where the rum and coke warmed our throat and the tongues started to get lose and tangled, while the sprinkles were kissed off the lips and my mind wondered off. To places that should not be visited and thoughts that have no place when you are with friends. Yet, there was a girl sitting on the hard ground, hiding her face from all the fun that was going on around her. It was dark, everything was so dark, the darkness had swallowed the lights and the alcohol did not make it better, the smokes did not make it better, the world was at an end.
My rescue was Death, all the thought of how to sneak off and go cut myself were temping, though the fear of people noticing me walking from the "fun", was not something I wanted to deal with. Also, being amongst others created a safety net, so I wouldn't cut so fast. Yet, there she was, right in front of me and she took me upstairs, where she and two others were geeking out. So I decided to just go to bed, let it go and do what I normally do, sleep, so I wouldn't have to think. After a while, the rest came back in, one of the girls very drunk but it all was okay, she gently passed out on her bed and it got quiet. The darkness outside swallowed the light in the room and the breathing got lighter and then there was only me, staring at the bed above me. Someone came to visit me, I embraced her. Sleep, sleep, sleep.
