Some of you might not want to read it, because you couldn't come, made other plans, had other obligations. I don't care, I was there, I enjoyed it, the best I could and want to share my thoughts. Because, once on a blue moon, a girl, hardly a teenager anymore had just finished her work and took her bike back home to hit the city of Rotterdam to see old friends she met before, make new friends and share her love with the people she talks to every day on the most special place of the internet. Walking down the street in panic, forgot her mobile phone at home, running back to make it to the busstop in time.
Dressed up, the girl looked around, old buildings and a long road ahead, leading to the final destination. I was not ready, it was too much, too much love, too much of everything and everyone. Avoiding the hugs of those who actually care, making every hug an awkward encounter of two or more people. There they were, from far and close, those who already had the pleasure to meet and new faces that I talked to before. We just hang around the kitchen, talking, hugging, sharing stories. We just sat around the hostel, playing games, having fun and then Phoe made everyone pasta with tomatoes together with some others and it tasted lovely as we were sitting on the street outside the hostel.
After dinner the bunch of us decided to just walk a bit around and hang around somewhere, seeing a bit of the city I suppose. We finally stopped not far from the hostel at the Museumpark, where we crashed our bums next to a fountain and a couple that was exchanging saliva quite publicly. Holly played around the fountain on the lower part of the memorial pond thing, while Rian and Maj joined. We talked, made pictures, lots of pictures, aaawwed over Holly's cuteness and in the end left because it was getting cold. We headed back to the hostel and went to bed quite early, as we didn't have booze. We tried buying some, but the stores were closed and the booze mission was a fail, the store we got directed to was closed too. We saw a little Rotterdam, a little mashmellow ice cream melting human statue, a transformer statue, an awesome shoestore that was closed and a giant tree. Enough impressions for at least some good night sleep in a blue Maersk themed room, orange walls and white curtains.
