Porcelain Doll
Your white skin so perfect
When the light touches
Your eyes gazing at the distance
Your lips closed, silent
You never spoke a word
Your little dress lace trimmed
bloomers cotton rimmed
Your shoes tipping on the floor
When I hold you tight
to dance with you more
All my memories lie with you
your eternal smile
No one could ever be so true
I thought I had it all
my pretty, porcelain doll
Your face is cracked from fallen down
your smile, your eyes
turned into a saddening frown
because it’s easy to break
a fragile, porcelain heart
A sharp, white skin so cold
Your hair, fake hay gold
Your eyes, just paint, that all
you never spoke, a word
my broken, porcelain doll
I threw you away, you were of no use
after all the words, all the abuse
I could not look innocence in the eye
My childhood was over
your life has passed by
Now I am here all by myself
without you on the shelf
You always looked out over me
high above all
and for all to see
Your white skin so perfect
When the light touches
Your eyes gazing at the distance
I know you knew it all
my shattered, lifeless porcelain doll
